Mr Michael Davies

Born and brought up in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire then came to Bangor University in 1960’s to take a degree in Electronic Engineering and Mathematics. I went back to South Wales to teach until in 1980 when I was appointed as Head of Mathematics at Coleg Technegol Gwynedd (now Coleg Menai) and moved to Llandegfan, bringing up our 3 children. I retired (early) in 1995 and went back to do some part time work including work with the Open University. I became a Councillor in Menai Bridge and was Mayor in 2014 and 2015. We moved to Beaumaris in 2021 and joined the Beaumaris Town Council as a sequel. I have been chair of the Beaumaris Over 50’s club for a number of years and also run the Beaumaris Singing for Pleasure group which meets every Monday morning.
